Melbourne, June 6, 2011 (Global Fashion Wire) - Riding high on a wave of success following her showing at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) is April Hewat's beachwear label April Marie Swimwear.

Attracting effortless attention with her bold, brave approach to beach chic, Hewat is part of the vanguard of exciting Australian swimwear designers redefining the way we see swimwear.

Each range is developed by transferring high quality photographic prints onto luxe Italian lycra. The resulting bold, vibrant prints are a first in the swimwear market.

Inspired by the magnificent natural world, the collections are populated by colourful pythons, peacocks, butterflies, reptiles and tropical flowers. Included in the current collection is the strapless one piece, 'Sumatran Tiger', that received a frenzy of orders when it was launched earlier in the year.

Hewat celebrates the Australian heritage of the label with a nod to classic Australiana... showcasing iconic images from photographer Ken Duncan that immortalise our most treasured waterways and coastal landscapes.

Complementing Hewat's evocative imagery is the array of innovative cuts in the range. Sexy cutaways and peekaboo bandage styles sit alongside classic bikini styles and opulent one-pieces catering for a myriad of tastes.

The label celebrates the vast beauty of Australia with enduring photographic campaigns staged in lush, exotic locations and consistent participation in fashion events around the country. Word out... a momentous sponsorship agreement with Miss World Australia will continue to ensure global attention for a home grown success story.
